I really appreciate the structure of her classes and the variety of exercises she offers, which always make me break a sweat and leave me feeling strong by the end of the class. I also love the Sol studio, which is clean and comfortable, and a big bonus is the availability of showers and fresh towels!

alle beoordelingen weergevenI’m giving 4 stars out of respect for the instructor’s work, but the class wasn’t what I expected. It felt quite rigid and very focused on a strongly traditional, almost extreme classical Pilates approach, with little creativity or room for body exploration. In Classical Pilates can still be space for dynamism and coordination, but I didn’t feel that was present here. The movements were repetitive, and at times there were differences in repetitions between sides, which felt a bit confusing. There was also a strong emphasis all the class certain cues (like constant pelvic tucking”) that, from my current perspective, feel somewhat outdated and tensions use felt out of the book but not very adaptable to different bodies or capacities. Again teacher seems experienced just from old old school. Personally, I value a more functional, mindful, and adaptable approach, but I understand this style may work well for others.

The place is the very opposite of new, fashionable places which call themself “pilates” because of making people do mindless glute-targeting repetitions on a reformer. So if you like flowy classes focused on precision, without loud music, lead by a friendly professional, it’s for you!
