Not great for when you’re hot and sweating, or if your skin is sensitive to stuff like that. Hope they just switch back to something unscented.

I’ve been suffering from lower back pain recently due to my bad posture working in front of a desk. The tricky part is that, because I’m pretty flexible to start with, it’s hard for me to get the deep stretch I need without overstretching and hurt the muscles. The class helped me gradually warm up the muscle groups and let me get the deepest stretch that my body was craving for. It’s challenging yet not too difficult that you can still adjust based on your level.

This is one of the best classes I’ve ever taken in NYC. The instructor was amazing, her energy was so contagious and she pushed me to my limit! Joanne was very intentional with her language and kept an eye on everyone's form. One of the moves was so difficult to hold, but everything else was doable and felt like a full-body workout. My only issue is that there was another class going on at the same time in the same room, which made it somewhat difficult to hear Joanne.

There was also no label saying the studio was on the third floor. But other than that, the class was nice. It wasn’t too difficult, felt more like a stretching class than a strength building. Our instructor was very kind, she didn’t correct our forms though, I wish she did so I knew if i was doing things correctly. Very beautiful studio!

One recommendation for the studio, if there could be a rule where people can’t bring in their phones at all, rather than telling them to put it on do not disturb. Also, for people who have Apple watches or devices that light up, asking them to put it on theater mode seems not enough recently, so many are lit up and distracting in class, maybe ask people to remove those or if they see it light up again to ask them to turn it off or take it off? I have asked a couple people, but it breaks my flow.
