This is one of the best classes I’ve ever taken in NYC. The instructor was amazing, her energy was so contagious and she pushed me to my limit! I was sweating and smiling the whole time during the dance section. Love love love. will absolutely be returning !!!!

The instructor clearly had a strong understanding of the style, and the class offered a good introduction to house dance. That said, I found the atmosphere a bit uneasy at times. Clearer communication about class expectations—especially around recording—would help participants feel more comfortable. I also feel the space could benefit from more encouragement to foster inclusivity and connection. Overall, I appreciate the effort to teach and preserve this unique art form. I look forward to coming back and growing in this style!

I will definitely be coming back for more of her classes! A note for Trilogy management - I wish the teachers were more empowered to stick to the policy for late students and not let them in once class has started. A few people came in late to this class and the teacher had to stop cueing to direct them where to set up. I don’t mean that to be reflective of Gabrielle at all, this has happened in plenty of classes at this studio and it’s always incredibly disruptive. It would be nice if the teachers felt supported to turn away late students for the sake of those who did make it to class on time

Her instruction to positions were easy to follow and when I wasn’t coordinating my movements well she helped me to coordinate better and described ways to which I could connect better. I appreciated the smaller class size. She also was able to help modify our moves to fit our specific needs. I left class feeling stronger, more connected to my body, confident, and seen. I really enjoyed learning all different things like how to do Handstands (both with and without the wall), walking on the wall into a bridge, and Cartwheels (first time learning how to do it properly)! PBT is so welcoming of everyone and all types of people. I am out of shape, 35, AuDHD, and struggle with combinations/timing/working memory. Those things have always made me too afraid to try ballet again since college, but I am so glad I did. Adrian is a wonderful teacher. He is so kind and funny. All the staff I have interacted with at PBT has been amazing so far and I am so grateful that this programming exists. The classes are challenging but fun and are a great way to get some movement back into your life.

You start with a warmup and then teaches you the move step by step and then add the music in between. They only seem to teach you up to verse 1 and chorus but that’s enough for the hour. Will do it again :)

alle beoordelingen weergevenThis was a fantastic class!! Anastasia is a gem 💎 I feel like it’s hard to find an adult ballet class where the instructor gives you corrections and advice. This is it!! Anastasia really wants to see you improve. She gives the class her undivided attention, always monitoring and adjusting you. Her combinations are a good intermediate level and she will go through them twice before starting the music. She doesn’t waste time— she practically says the whole combination in one breath, I’m amazed at her lung capacity, tbh hahaha. The class did start 10 minutes late, but that’s because she wanted to continue working with her earlier class for an extra 10 minutes, which I respect. Our class went over by 20 minutes at the end, so she spent an extra 10 minutes with us, too. She also spent time teaching students after class ended, she really cares. Thank you!
