The instructor was a very apt coach, explained things clearly and identified need for corrections across participants. Class was structured well with adequate time allocated to practicing different techniques and having breaks. The space was comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming without being overbearing.

alle beoordelingen weergevenI thought the class would be split into half BJJ half judo (from the name of the listing, so that’s my only critique). So I rolled up in my BJJ gi expecting to do a BJJ class. However it was actually a judo class (I went on a wed night). Despite that, I’m very thankful and happy to say that the coach was very friendly and good at explaining and breaking down movements. He was also patient and welcoming. Also met and did a short randori with some of the other students who were mostly really friendly and nice. Overall I did really enjoy myself and learnt new good drills so I’m pleased with this surprise :)

I’ve had heaps of injuries at other places and none here! - The instructors are amazing at teaching, they don’t rush you from drill to drill, they create enough space and give you enough time to learn! We worked on two techniques of guard passing into side control, then had positional sparring before ending the class. I liked that there was no pointless warm-up and that we dived straight into drills. Not exactly beginner-friendly, but I would definitely consider coming here again. Thanks Coach Shah!
